new organic cafe on drouillard

The restaurant idea came from a pact Patricia made with her brother-in-law Glen who passed away in December 2010.  Glen was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in 2009, and was put on a high alkaline vegetarian diet as part of his treatment; it ended up increasing his life expectancy by 18 months.  “(Glen) and I said once he was going to get better that him and I would open (a café) together,” explained Patricia.  Even though she did not get her wish of partnering with Glen, when an opportunity presented itself she decided to go ahead and open up a place that would serve the community with a 100% organic menu.
